Come & celebrate Older People’s Day at York Hall for the big finale of events in October. LinkAge Plus is an innovative service for anyone over the age of fifty and living in Tower Hamlets and helps to make the most of life by improving wellbeing and reducing social isolation.
The day will be the final culmination of events that would have taken place across London for Older People’s Day earlier in the month. There will be different activities and stalls to entertain, engage and inform. The day has been organised in partnership with Age UK East London, Neighbours in Poplar, Peabody, St Hilda’s and Toynbee Hall. As well as by Tower Hamlets Council and then Tower Hamlets Clinical Commissioning group who co-fund the project.
Join us at York Hall, 5 Old Forge Road, Bethnal Green, E2 9PJ from 10.30am to 3.00pm.

Our volunteers are the best! And to show our appreciation, we are inviting all of our volunteers, past and present, to a picnic in the park! Meet in the car park at SimpleGifts and we will walk over just past 2:00 (alternatively meet us at Ion Square Gardens on Warner Place, just below Hackney Road). Hope to see you there!
If you've always wanted to help out at SimpleGifts, but weekly work and/or family commitments get in the way, now's your chance! We are going to have fun doing some deep spring cleaning at the centre - whitewashing the hallway, scrubbing the floors and maybe even a little gardening if we have enough hands.
Please let us know if you are planning to come so we can have enough lunch on hand!
